Comfort care homes in Mooresville and Huntersville that provide end-of-life care for up to two hospice patients at any given time. Volunteers come in for four-hour overlapping shifts between 7a and 11p to provide bedside care for residents. Bedside care can include healthcare, help moving around, light meals, and most importantly companionship. Volunteers are provided training before they start officially volunteering. There are no time commitments beyond if someone signs up for a shift, they expect them to be at that shift.
